JP Johnson Custom Saddles

My saddles are built with a handful of key thoughts and elements throughout the process. These include superior materials, function, comfort to horse and rider alike, artistic flair and time tested traditional building methods. Along with quality workmanship these key points result in longevity and eye appeal in everything I build.

Each saddle is built with the same effort and attention to detail; we don't cut corners to get a saddle out the door. It is my goal to bring you a level of satisfaction that has never been experienced before.
MATERIALS:
I use Warren Wright trees in my saddles. Warren has made and rawhided approximately 5,000 trees since 1969. He learned the finer points of treemaking from Bill Severe, who in turn learned the trade from Hamley's master treemaker Walter Youngman. Warren is committed to preserving the traditional art of treemaking using the methods of Youngman/Severe together with the extensive use of drawknives and spokeshaves.

Warren Wright saddle trees, Hermann Oak leather and stainless steel hardware help me to provide a "top notch" finished rig.
